Dr. John L. Stanton
Dr. Stanton has been practicing Orthopedics since 1982. He received his MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine and is Board Certified in Orthopedics. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Stanton performed his internship at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, Texas and his Residency program in Orthopedics at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Dr. Stanton’s professional societies include the Southern Orthopedic Association and Southern Medical Association, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Stanton and his wife, Cathy, have two children: Travis and Jacob. Currently he and his family reside in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Many musculoskeletal conditions can be treated by non-surgical techniques–surgery is just one treatment option. I combine leading edge techniques with proven traditional methods to provide our patients with the best orthopaedic care possible.
It is my responsibility to make sure patients are well informed about their conditions and the multiple choices of treamtent. My professional staff and I will also provide you with the patient education materials that give you added appreciation of your condition and treatment options.
Dr. David M. Allen
Dr. David M. Allen is originally from the Chicago, Illinois, area. He has been a chiropractic care physician for over ten years. He graduated from Life University’s Chiropractic School in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Allen is also a graduate of the Spine Research Institute of San Diego with an advanced certification in whiplash and brain injury traumatology. He has done extensive post-graduate work in the world famous Gonstead Technique of Chiropractic as well as studies in extremities, radiographic analysis, spinal rehabilitation and strengthening, and in diagnosis and treatment of acute automobile, sports- and work-related injuries.
After graduating from graduate school, he realized that he wanted to stay in the South. The nice weather, friendly people and beautiful landscapes all appealed to him. He and his wife spent almost six months traveling all over the southeastern United States before choosing Clarksville as the place to open their practice and start a family.
Dr. David M. Allen is also certified by the national and Tennessee State Board of Examiners and is an active member of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association. He was also voted Best Chiropractor in Clarksville for the last four years.
Dr. David M. Allen was also voted the March of Dimes “Best Chiropractor” in 2015, and is a 9-time winner of that award.
Dr. Tyler J. Jennings
Dr. Tyler Jennings is a Chiropractic Physician at Riverside Spine and Physical Medicine. He was raised in Southern Illinois and went on to attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. After three years, he transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. While there he received his Bachelor of Human Biology degree on his way to earning a Doctor of Chiropractic in August of 2012. Upon graduation, Dr. Jennings and his family moved back to Southern Illinois where he started practicing. In April of 2014, he and his family moved to Clarksville, TN where he joined the team at Riverside Spine and Physical Medicine. Dr. Jennings believes in an integrated approach to patient care to get the best long term results for his patients.
Dr. Jennings is board certified by both National and Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has had extensive training in Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, Cox, and Logan Basic techniques.
Joshua R. Johnson, Ed.d., M.S.M., PA-C
Joshua Johnson is a Physician Assistant at Riverside Spine and Physical Medicine. Josh provides medical care and treatment at our integrated facility through a team based approached to provide the ultimate care for each patient. Originally from the Chicago area, Josh completed his undergraduate courses at Trevecca Nazarene University in 2008, and received his Master of Science Medicine (PA Program) in 2010 from Trevecca. Upon graduation, Josh worked in Orthopedic Surgery for 6 years in the Chicago suburbs. While still practicing in Orthopedic Surgery, Josh completed his Doctorate of Education in Ethical Leadership (Ed.D.) from Olivet Nazarene University in 2016. He was awarded a Dissertation of Distinction for his research: “Patient Satisfaction with Care Provided by Physician Assistants in an Orthopedic Clinic” (Dissertation). Josh has additional training In musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections and has administered more than 5,000 joint injections in his career. He and his wife are excited to be new members of the Clarksville community.
Josh is certified through the National Commission of Certified Physician Assistant and is licensed in Tennessee. He is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dr. Marcus Haynes
Dr. Haynes is from Clarksville Tennessee where he has an extensive educational background at Austin Peay State University with a Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Performance (B.S.) and a Masters in Exercise Science (M.S.). In addition Dr. Haynes received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Tennessee State University. He has had many hours of training in a variety of patient settings including Vanderbilt University’s Medical Center (VUMC). Dr Haynes is proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to assure thorough diagnosis and effective, broad-based patient care. He is professionally licensed to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and movement dysfunctions.
