Dr. Robert “Erik” Jackson is a highly experienced physician with a diverse background in internal medicine, primary care, urgent care, and post-acute medical management. Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville before attending Meharry Medical College, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree.

He completed his Internal Medicine residency training through Morehouse School of Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia—one of the nation’s most respected and clinically diverse training environments. Throughout his career, Dr. Robert has provided care across a wide range of healthcare settings, including family medicine practices, urgent care centers, outpatient clinics, and skilled nursing facilities.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Robert currently serves as Medical Director for multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, where he oversees patient care, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary medical services.

Known for his compassionate approach and commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Robert brings decades of experience and a broad medical perspective to Riverside Spine & Physical Medicine. His focus is helping patients improve their health, function, and quality of life through evidence-based medicine and collaborative care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Robert is a devoted husband and father of three. He is also an accomplished musician and active minister, reflecting his lifelong commitment to serving others both inside and outside the healthcare setting.
