Physical Therapy Assistant

James Brooks is a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant with experience helping patients recover from injury, improve mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy most. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, James moved to Nashville in 2011 to attend Lipscomb University, where he studied Kinesiology and developed a strong foundation in human movement and rehabilitation.

Throughout his career, James has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and home health care. This diverse experience has allowed him to work with patients of all ages and functional levels, from post-surgical recovery and sports-related injuries to chronic pain and mobility challenges.

James believes that successful rehabilitation involves more than simply treating a diagnosis. His goal is to empower patients with the confidence and knowledge they need to take an active role in their recovery. By focusing on individualized care and patient education, he strives to help each person achieve meaningful, lasting results.

At Riverside Spine & Physical Medicine, James enjoys working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care that helps patients move better, feel better, and improve their overall quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, James enjoys reading and lifelong learning. He is currently reading Lonesome Dove, one of America’s classic Western novels.
